We are living in a time of transition and profound change where the future is unfolding faster for organisations, institutions and professions. We find ourselves grappling with increasing levels of uncertainty and environmental complexity and in a world in which we are increasingly triggered, divided, and disconnected.
Part of the chaos we’re experiencing is because our systems and our ways of working together have, for the most part, been designed for a different time, different challenges and different circumstances, and to perpetuate the status quo.
These challenges call us to pay more attention to the relational, social, and ecological narratives in which we live and work, if we are to create a new future together. Or we will continue to spend a lot of time and energy merely coping. The solutions needed to address these challenges, whether as individuals, groups, organisations and communities is not more of the same. It’s time to think differently about the way we work together.

Reflected in the way I work is a fundamental belief in Ubuntu, or humanness. The understanding that each of us thrives only when all of us thrive, that we are inextricably linked to each other, our families, our community, and our world.
Woven into the fabric of my work is the belief that:
We always have a choice about how we respond and how we turn up in the world, no matter the circumstance we find ourselves in.
The possibility for learning and growth is present in most every situation we encounter if we are prepared to perceive and embrace it.
We each have the capacity to make a difference no matter what level of formal or informal leadership we hold.
At the heart of all transformation is trust. When we feel we can open up with candour, we strengthen our bonds of trust, and learning becomes exponential.
There is nothing more important than building strong relationships. Strong relationships provide a foundation from which we can connect, navigate and grow into our potential.
Transformation occurs inside first and then outside. It is inside where we hold new beliefs about who we are and who we can become. Transformation also needs to be grounded in experience as well as insight.
What we believe, to whom we belong, how we behave and who we become are profoundly shaped by our stories and the larger narratives in which we live.
Our stories frame our experience, in the same the way a picture frame frames a picture and, it’s never too late to choose a new story and to open up to what might be possible.
